Referral FAQ
How do I get a referral bonus?
To be eligible for the referral bonus, participants must submit the following:
- Founder name
- Email address
- Company information
If it seems like the company could be a good fit for our platform, we will reach out to you to request a personal introduction to the startup founder via email or phone call.
Additional requirements:
- The startup must subsequently launch a fundraising campaign within eight weeks of the introduction.
- A referral bonus will only be paid electronically via your MV Funding Account; referrers must have a verified account on the MicroVentures Platform in order to receive payment.

To be eligible, a participant must open a verified account on the MicroVentures platform, submit the name of the startup and contact information for its leadership team, and agree to facilitate a personal introduction.
Related parties of a startup, such as founders, officers, directors, and employees, are not eligible to participate. Current co-investors, promoters, or previous investors are also ineligible.
Referrers will not receive payment for more than four successfully launched campaigns in a calendar year. Additionally, if MicroVentures had a pre-existing relationship with the referred company prior to the referral, the referrers won’t be eligible for a referral bonus.

How long before I can expect to hear back?
We will provide feedback to referrers within approximately five business days, and we will notify a referrer of any pre-existing relationship with a startup within two weeks of the referral.
